MASHIE MOBILE all-terrain VJ Projection Rig

This film shows how mashie.tv customised a 6WD Pinzgauer 712 for use as a mobile VJ projection rig for festivals and urban projection. This all-terrain vehicle is equipped with marine grade AGM batteries, sine wave inverters and a generator. A purpose-built roof turret with non-reflective glass houses a projector on a high speed PTZ head. The projection equipment is protected from shock and vibration while on the move by helical springs. When the vehicle is stationary, a 7x5 rear projection screen can be mounted on the roof over the rear doors for outdoor events and festivals. The mid-section of the vehicle houses a steel structure designed to accommodate standard VJ equipment (video decks, vision mixers etc).
